It's been a while since our last communique; life and work have conspired to keep us busy. Yet, amidst the chaos, the music's been churning. We're beyond thrilled to announce the debut release from Drifting North, a 3-song EP titled First Harvest. And with it, we invite you to join us in celebrating our love of sound this Valentine’s.
Drifting North is a convergence of sonic forces, featuring Twin Lakes co-founders Jon Schlesinger and Michael Kiefer (also of Myty Konkeror and More Klementines), Richard Brown (The Sawtelles, Happy Ending), Scott Amore (The Butterflies of Love, Famous Problems), and Joe Sepi (Discount Fireworks, Least Best Beast). They've been holed up in Amore's Inner Space Sound Labs, crafting tunes that radiate a sprawling yet cohesive sonic spectrum. First Harvest is an early glimpse into their musical alchemy—a trio of tracks that traverse from psychedelic Americana and cosmic country to hip-shaking krautrock. It's a labyrinthine journey through sound, sure to leave you entranced. We can't wait to hear what you think and hope to see you at the next gig at Three Sheets in New Haven on February 22.
