On Saturday, October 10th Twin Lakes Records will be hosting a CD release party at Café Nine in New Haven to celebrate the release of Closely Watched Trains' eponymous debut album. We're really psyched about this, not only because we love the record, but because this is also the label's first long-player.

With this record, CWT has managed to breathe new life into multiple genres at once with sonic explorations that are organic, orchestral, and raw. The result is a sound familiar yet impossible to define…an aural landscape, pastoral and surreal, that beckons and is easy to get lost in.

The full bill is pretty dope too. Brooklyn’s critically-acclaimed Soft Black will be there, local post-punkers Swarm the Moon will be rattling some skulls, and Kryssi Battalene from Heaven People will be conjuring out-of-this-world noisescapes from her bowed acoustic guitar and various electronic inventions under her solo project moniker Colorguard. Doors open at 8pm.
